ChlorHEX 4% Antiseptic Solution is an antimicrobial solution registered with KKM, containing 4% chlorhexidine gluconate which has antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria and inhibits some viruses and is active against some fungi.

Do not dilute. To be used full strength as a surgical hand scrub, healthcare personnel handwash or for general skin cleansing.

Caution

Keep out reach of children. For external use only. Do not use undiluted solution. Do not bring into contact with body cavities, eyes (risk of corneal damage), brain and meninges, middle ear (risk of deafness if ear drum is perforated). Do not use with soap or a different type of antiseptic, e.g. povidone iodine (incompatibility).May cause skin and mucous membrane irritation; rarely allergic reactions. Avoid applications to mucous membranes, especially to genital mucous membranes. Do not use cork stoppers (decreases the antibacterial activity of chlorhexidine).
